Sennheiser Amperior Headphones – A Detailed Analysis

The DJ style look of these headphones is pretty awesome. They have a swivel rotating earcup and neodymium drivers together with a microphone on one of the cables for taking your calls with. Don’t forget that these headphones are closed-back which means that none of the noise is let out of the back of the headphones so others can’t easily hear what you’re listening to.

Now for DJs alike, it’s quite fair to say that the Sennheiser Amperior headphones are in fact an upgraded update to the very successful ‘daddy of DJ headphones’ the Senns HD 25s. Which goes a long way to showing just how popular this model of headphones truly are.

How Comfy are the Amperiors?

Now these headphones don’t come cheap. They are a mid to high range DJ headphone and it’s important to realize what differences these headphones have compared to their cheaper counterparts. First, is the characteristic two-piece headband that is shared with the Senn HD 25s. The other distinctive features are the cables protruding from the top as well as the rounded ear-cups which we think look really cool.

It’s also noteworthy that this equipment for djs that are beginning might not look as classy as other high end models like V-Moda Crossfade. But the fact that the ear-cups are indeed made from silver aluminum is a touch of class I’m sure you’ll agree.

So what about Sound Quality?

Well one thing that makes these headphones really great is that they are successful in isolating / eliminating most outside noises. The bass is pretty deep. If you’re a fan of hip hop you might be better opting for a pair of Beats headphones though. The mids and highs are crisp and clear and overall Sennheiser has done a great job with these headphones.
